Heya, decided to renew this thread, I figured id ask a question to Chris regarding the realy nice scenery that you made for the Firestorm game at Crusade last year, how did you make them?
I ask since theres been alot of people playing space-based games at the club, like X-wing, Firestorm, and of course, with the upcoming games Halo Battlefleets and the DZC space game

Polystyrene balls (EBay)
Dipped in 2 part resin until smooth (Same resin as used in miniature making, can't think of my supplier of the top of my head, but I warn you its not something you do in the house)

Octagonal bases (EBay)

Paint with airbrush as required.

Aha, I see, so thats how you made them.

Though, I was thinking of something a bit simpler, would it be possible to make asteroids from expanding foam?

Best option - BBQ gravel blocks, for Asteroids.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flames-Of-War ... OIQWSeiubw

I found this seller on Ebay, does alot of smaller-scale things for flames of war, but I figured anyone who uses 15mm might find use in some of his things, stuff like barrels and crates can be universal after all, and their quite cheap too!
