An Infinity narrative campaign

An Infinity narrative campaign

Myself and Matt have decided (I forced him into it really) that we would try to narratively link our games of Infinity. We started this on Sunday with a 300 point game between PanOceania and Qapu Khalqi. Here is part one to the campaign. (apologies for some of the infinity references some of which may or may not be 100% accurate).

Following a period of monitoring pirate activity on the planet of Co-1ty, Hector Higuain, a reporter of the Mayacast decided to contact the Hexas about his observations about the involvement of Nomad nation of Corregidor and the process of selling TAGs to a rogue Qapu Khalqi faction led by the infamous Lieutenant Naveed Ul Hassan. Higuain had been reporting secretly on the Lieutenant's dealings directly to the Hexas and following the latest batch of reports to PanOceania command and the fact that Higuan believed that his cover was compromised, an extraction force was sent to rescue the reporter.

Sadly, for PanOceania the extraction did not go as planned and despite eliminating one of Hussan's newly acquired Iguana TAGs, their forces were held back under extreme fire and the intrepid reporter was abducted by the Qapu Khalqi pirates. Naturally, both PanOceania high command and the high council of Haqqislam denied any involvement in the incident to O-12.

Licking their wounds, the PanOceania command are now forced with the difficult decision of whether to pursue the lost journalist to recover the information he had uncovered or to leave him to his fate.

In further developments on Co-1ty:

Rumours have receached the Pan Ocenaian high command that the previous engagement that they had with the pirates of Qapu Khalqi that all was not as it seemed. The "abduction" of Higuan was nothing more than a trap set by Naveed Ul Hassan to weaken the position of Pan Oceania in front of O-12. In fact, the reporter was rumoured to be a double agent.

In order to determine the validity of the rumours, the Pan Oceania Lieutenant Braun was sent to retrieve information directly from the information servers used by the Nomads and Qapu Khalqi who have been involved in the trade of TAGs. The defence of the servers was reportedly light and it was deemed that Braun could extract the information quickly and with little resistance. Unfortunately, the server was heavily defended and Braun was unable to extract the required information from the servers. However, he was able to gain data about a potential site where Ul Hassan is building up his stronghold of weapons and supplies.

Following his failure to secure the required information about Higuan, Braun has been ordered to return to Pan Oceania high command to explain his failures. He is now left with the choice of whether to pursue Ul Hassan's base of operations or whether he returns to high command with his tail between his legs.
